I was introduced to this song by jazz pianist Joe Bonner. He had worked with and was friends with Harold Vick the composer. Joe had the words and no one had sung the song. He invited me over to try it out. When I sang it he stood up at his piano with elephant tears in his eyes. He told me he had invited Dianne Reeves to come over to sing it and other singers. And he cried to know that I sang it just beautifully as a new baby jazz singer at the time. After we talked about naming the cd. Previously we had thought of "You Kiss" which Joe Bonner wrote for me. And after this meeting we both decided the cd should be named after his mentor and friend Harold Vick.
