Since Sergio Mendez in 1966 I have loved Bossa nova. Antônio Carlos Jobim wrote this song and he has always inspired me. Samba Bossa nova seem so natural to me. When Mitchel and I were on the way to the studio to record this he asked what we were going to record. I choose this song because in my life my dreams have often come true. So "Dreamer" seemed appropriate at the time. I had only been singing professionally 6 months when I did this recording. I had big dreams. Mitchell was late as his nail had broken and he had to get it fixed prior to the recording time. Otherwise there would have been more with him. But I am happy with the out come of this recording.
